AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts Amherst has received a $1 million gift from two alumni to create a new center that will forge new collaborations between nurses and engineers, bringing together two fields that can improve personal well-being and save lives.

BOSTON – Five University of Massachusetts faculty members have been awarded the 2021 Manning Prize for Excellence in Teaching for their exemplary dedication to students and the university. The faculty members — one from each of the five UMass campuses — will receive $10,000 awards in recognition of their exceptional teaching and commitment to their students.
