Out-of-State Students

Attending UMass as an out-of-state student also unlocks the opportunities provided by one of the nation's strongest economies. Many of our out-of-state students choose to remain in Massachusetts after graduation to live, work and enjoy the high quality of life the state offers.

Undergraduate students who are U.S. residents from outside Massachusetts pay a segmented tuition rate, but are eligible for financial aid and may be eligible for grants and scholarships. Students from the other New England states may also be eligible for regional or proximity tuition programs.
