PITTSBURGH – University of Massachusetts hockey controlled play from start to finish and rolled to a 5-0 shutout of St. Cloud State to capture the 2021 Division I Men's Hockey NCAA Championship on Saturday night at PPG Paints Arena, the first in program history. The Minutemen finish the season with a 20-5-4 record, the fewest losses for an NCAA Champion since Maine's 40-1-2 season in 1992-93.
 

BOSTON – Research expenditures at the University of Massachusetts increased by $33 million in one fiscal year to a record high of $684 million in Fiscal Year 2019. This continued increase reflects the long-term growth of the university's research enterprise, which has grown by 14 percent since FY14 and 40 percent since FY09.

BOSTON – A distinguished and broadly representative group of health care professionals, UMass faculty, business leaders, community stakeholders, and alumni, have been appointed by UMass Board of Trustees Chairman Stephen Karam and UMass President Marty Meehan to lead a comprehensive search for the next chancellor of UMass Chan Medical School.
