Erin Flanigan

Erin Flanigan serves as Vice President of Talent for Mass General Brigham, a not-for-profit integrated healthcare system, founded in 1994 by two world-class academic medical centers, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. Partners (recently renamed Mass General Brigham) is the largest private employer in Massachusetts, with more than 78,000 employees and provides care to more than 1.5 million patients annually. In her role, Erin oversees talent acquisition, workforce development, and talent management for the two-founding academic medical centers, multiple community and specialty hospitals, a health insurance division, community health centers, home health and long-term care services, and other health care entities within the system.

Erin served as Vice President of Human Resources at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, a subsidiary of Massachusetts General Hospital and Partners HealthCare. She was responsible for strategic workforce planning, organizational design, talent acquisition, talent management, compensation and benefits design, and organizational education and development for hospital and physician practices in support of regional growth strategies in a fast-paced, changing, competitive talent landscape. She continues to serve on the board of Great Bay Community College and is actively involved in creating programs to build talent pipelines from the community college environment into hard to fill clinical and support roles.

Prior to joining the Mass General Brigham system, Erin was Director of Global Supply Chain Human Resources at The Timberland Company in Stratham, New Hampshire. She oversaw strategic global workforce management programs for 5,500 employees located in 26 different countries. Erin has also served as a Director of Human Resources in a variety of industries and organizations including manufacturing, publishing, and financial services. Erin has over 30 years of experience in Human Resources management in large organizations during periods of growth and change including handling mergers and acquisitions. She is a trained Lean/Six Sigma Champion. Erin has participated as a national speaker for the Vizient annual conference in Las Vegas and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College.
