Launched two decades ago, UMassOnline is the University of Massachusetts's online education consortium, featuring more than 1,500 online courses and nearly 150 online certificate and degree programs at our five nationally ranked research universities: UMass Amherst, UMass Boston, UMass Dartmouth, UMass Lowell and UMass Medical School. Students can earn UMass undergraduate and graduate degrees in a wide range of disciplines, including liberal arts, education, management, nursing, public health and information technology.

Building on the success of UMassOnline, UMass Global – a non-profit affiliate of the University of Massachusetts – has been launched to meet the unique needs of adult learners in Massachusetts and around the nation.

I’m gratified to see UMassOnline providing innovative, flexible offerings that make a world-class UMass education more accessible to more students. UMass has been a pioneer in online education, which expands our reach globally while making critical contributions to workforce development right here in the Commonwealth. Marty Meehan President, University of Massachusetts

Online students learn from the same world-class instructors, enroll in the same rigorous programs and receive the same University of Massachusetts degree as students who study on campus.
