The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is hosting a “Diversity Lunch and Learn” event on Thursday, March 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the W.E.B. Du Bois Library, room 2601.
The “Teaching Diversity in and Beyond a Large Class” workshop will highlight a few of the key challenges and concerns faculty may experience when teaching diversity-related content. Teaching for Inclusiveness, Diversity and Equity (TIDE) Ambassador Faculty Fellows Benita Barnes, College of Education; Magda Oiry, linguistics; Andrea Ayvazian, health promotion and Policy; and Megan Lewis, theater, will illustrate ways to engage students productively with diversity content and discuss strategies they’ve used effectively in their courses.
Registration is available on the CTL website.
