Information and programs to help students prepare for a medical career are provided at each of the four UMass undergraduate/graduate campuses.

Pre-Med/Pre-Health

UMass Amherst

UMass Amherst offers numerous courses of study that meet the requirements for application to graduate programs in health professions such as medicine, dentistry, physician assistant, podiatry, optometry, and many others. The Pre-med/Pre-health Advising Office offers guidance for all aspects of the application process including information on: coursework, getting hands-on experience, taking the MCAT, letters of recommendation, preparing the application, and practicing for interviews.

UMass Boston

Advising is available to pre-med students through UMass Boston's Student Success Center, located in the College of Science and Mathematics.

UMass Dartmouth

UMass Dartmouth prepares undergraduate students for admission to medical and health-related professional programs through its Pre-medical/Pre-health Advising program. For students who have already received a bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or university, they are eligible for admission to our Pre-Health Certificate program.

UMass Lowell
