UMass educates nearly three times as many Massachusetts residents as the top eight Massachusetts private universities combined, graduating nearly 20,000 students each year.

2024 Commencement

UMass Amherst

Congratulations to the Class of 2024! Tickets are not required to attend the commencement celebrations, and there is no limit on the number of guests you can invite.

The graduate commencement ceremony will be held on Friday, May 17 at 10:00 am at McGuirk Stadium.

The undergraduate commencement ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 10:00 am at McGuirk Stadium.

Stockbridge School of Agriculture Associate Degree commencement ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Bowker Auditorium, Stockbridge Hall.

On Saturday, May 18, the Stockbridge School of Agriculture will conduct its Associate Degree Commencement at 3:00 p.m. in Bowker Auditorium.

UMass Boston

Congratulations Class of 2024! There will be two ceremonies, one for undergraduate and one for graduate students, on May 27th. 

Graduate Commencement Ceremony: Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 3:00 pm. The procession of graduates begins at 2:30 p.m. Graduates will have their names called at both ceremonies and receive diploma covers. Diplomas will be mailed at a later date.

Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony: Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 9:30 am. The procession of graduates begins at 8:45 a.m. 

UMass Dartmouth

UMass Dartmouth's 124th commencement ceremonies will be held on Thursday, May 16, through Friday, May 17, 2024.

The undergraduate student ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Cressy Field.

The graduate student ceremonies will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 10:30 am at the Crissy Field.

The doctoral ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 4:00 pm at the Campus Center Auditorium—all doctoral students from all schools and colleges (excluding Law students).

UMass Lowell

UMass Lowell's annual commencement celebrations culminate all of the hard work and dedication by students, faculty, and staff. We are excited to announce that we will be hosting in-person Commencement Ceremonies at the Tsongas Center, 300 MLK Way, Lowell, MA, on the following days: Friday, May 10th at 10:00 am and Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 9:00 am and 2:00 pm.

Friday's commencement ceremony is for doctoral and master's students in all colleges.

Saturday's morning commencement ceremony is for undergraduate students in the Francis College of Engineering, the Kennedy College of Sciences, and the Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences. The afternoon graduation ceremony is for undergraduate students in the College of Fine Arts Humanities and Social Sciences and the Manning School of Business.

UMass Chan Medical

The 51st annual commencement exercises for the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School will be held on campus on Sunday, June 2, 2022.

The ceremony will take place on the campus green in front of the Medical School Building, with more than 300 students from the T.H. Chan School of Medicine, the Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing, and the Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences expected to receive degrees.

UMass Law
