"It was love over toast in the Franklin Dining Common. I was usually in the dish room and he was an older, more experienced DC employee :). It was during our Sunday brunch shift when I worked the toast machine and he filled the juice and milk that our friendship developed. It continued as we would people watch in the Student Union and while studying in the Reading Room.
Love blossomed on our first date, Valentine’s Day 1990 at the Pub. Now married almost 25 years, three beautiful daughters later I couldn't imagine life without him. Now our oldest is a junior at UMass, and we hope she has found true love at UMass like we did."
