Enhancements to the University 403(b) Retirement Plan

Effective November 16, 2007, online enrollment is now available through the NEW UMASS/AIG Retirement 403(b) microsite.

The primary enhancements that AIG Retirement has put in place for the University's 403(b) plan have to do with simplifying the enrollment process. Previously, in order to open a 403(b) account with AIG Retirement, employees had to meet with an AIG Retirement representative. Through the new microsite, University employees will now have the option of opening a 403(b) account with AIG Retirement online. In addition to online enrollment, AIG Retirement is now offering several other enrollment options to University employees including enrolling by phone or by completing a simplified enrollment form. Information about the various enrollment options can be found by going to the microsite at www.aigretirement.com/umass.

Effective February 14, 2008, online enrollment is now available via the NEW UMASS/Fidelity branded 403(b) microsite.

Through the new University/Fidelity microsite, University employees will now have the option of opening a University 403(b) account with Fidelity online. In addition, employees will also now have the option of enrolling by phone. Please note that employees will continue to have the option of completing the paper enrollment kit if they so choose. Information about the various enrollment options can be found by going to the microsite at http://www.mysavingsatwork.com/umass.

Through the new University/Fidelity microsite participants will have access to investment information, online workshops and new investment planning tools. For additional information concerning the Fidelity enhancements, click on the following link which will bring your to the letter Fidelity mailed to its University 403(b) participants on February 14, 2008.

Effective February 19, 2008, online enrollment is now available via the NEW UMASS/TIAA CREF branded 403(b) microsite. In addition, 19 new TIAA-CREF investment options (mutual funds) are now available to University participants, including TIAA-CREF's Lifecycle Funds. The complete list of investment options can be found on the microsite.

Through the new University/TIAA-CREF microsite, University employees will now have the option of opening a University 403(b) account with TIAA-CREF online. Please note that employees will continue to have the option of completing the paper enrollment kit if they so choose.
