U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Educators SummitDate: November 21, 2008 Program OverviewJoin leading educators from K-12 and higher education to explore revolutionary ideas and best practices for integrating green building into curriculum. The 2008 USGBC Educators Summit will connect educators exploring topics such as climate change and sustainability. Attendees will share stories about their efforts to prepare students as the next generation of green leaders. During interactive, breakout sessions, attendees will share successes, address hurdles, and explore solutions. Attendees are presented with new tools and resources for using the built environment as the context for teaching. The summit includes lunch, followed by an optional afternoon tour or workshop to delve deeper into the issues. See below for more information about these opportunities. Spaces will be filled on a first come first served basis. Who Should Attend?The Educators Summit will be geared towards educators, school leaders, and representatives from organizations actively supporting curriculum implementation in schools and on campuses. Attendees may choose to register for and attend the Greenbuild 2008 conference on Wednesday and Thursday, November 19 and 20, however this is not required. Registration for the Educators Summit will be limited to 300 attendees. Registration: $50/attendee and includes a light breakfast and lunch. Attend the USGBC Educators Summit by registering online.
