Springfield College is sponsoring a professional development conference "The World is (not) Flat - A Model to Identify and Change Misconceptions Students Have about Science." The date is November 14th, 9:00AM to 3:00PM at Springfield College's Brennan Center. The presenters are Page Keeley, President of the National Science Teachers Association and popular author of her new book, Science Formative AssessmentDick Konicek, Professor Emeritus at UMASS Amherst and Joyce Tugel, Science Specialist at the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance will lead will lead workshops on their new books, Everyday Science Mysteries and Uncovering Science Ideas in Science .
