Just this past week, the French Maglev train broke the speed record for conventional rail trains, reaching 357.2 mph. Introduce your students to the two men who invented this remarkable method of transportation that uses electromagnetic force to levitate trains.  No friction between the train and the track means higher speeds with less energy needed.
