Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day

Join Smith College students for a fun day of engineering activities! Build balloon-powered cars, play with polymers, and find out what other new activities we have added!

  • 4th-6th grade girls are welcome on February 28, 2009, 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • 6th-8th grade girls are invited on March 7, 2009, 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

As part of National Engineers Week, the Smith College Society of Women Engineers and the Picker Engineering Program are hosting a day of engineering activities, with the goal of introducing girls to the exciting field of engineering.  Hundreds of girls from the Pioneer Valley have enjoyed this annual spring event.  Due to popular demand, space is available on a first come first served basis.  Lunch and snacks will be provided.
