The Museum Institute for Teaching ScienceSummer InstituteDates: July 7 - 18, 2008 Headline Science: Science, Math and Literacy Behind the Headlines Professional Development for K-8 teachers in STEM subjectsHands-on, inquiry-based methods of teaching STEM modeled by museum educators in nine regions of Massachusetts. Topics include climate change, water quality, engineering skills, forensics, and the effect of the environment on our bodies. Receive 60 or 90 PDPs for two-week sessions and 30 PDPs for 1 week sessions (Springfield and Cape Cod only), 3-4 college credits are available for an additional cost. Registration fee is $200 per teacher or $175 if two or more attend from the same school.
