The Boston Sea Rovers announce their annual "Career Opportunities in the Marine Sciences" ( COMS) conference, for secondary school students and their teachers, which will be held on Friday March 7, 2008 from 9AM to 12:30PM at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Copley Square, Boston. The Boston Sea Rovers provide this opportunity at no cost to area secondary school students and their teachers as part of our public outreach program. Reservations are required as seating is limited. This year, the Career Opportunities in the Marine Sciences program features Keith Ellenbogen of Parsons University describing his Fulbright Scholar experiences doing marine ecology work in Malaysia; Fisheries biologist Greg Skomal telling about the biology of New England Sharks; Harvard biologist Peter Girguis discussing his Deep Sea Biology expeditions; Amy Gionotti sharing her explorations in Underwater Cave Research; our Scalli Interns presentation about their summer exploring the marine environment and Alexandra Cousteau telling us about the work of the EarthEcho Foundation to protect sealife the world over. We invite you to join us for an exciting journey into the ocean realm with our presenters, all of whom spend a significant portion of their life on and under the water.
