The CLE provides many services and networking opportunities in support of the critical thinking engendered by the use of system dynamics in K-12 education.. We invite you to register on the CLE website and join the growing number of innovative educators worldwide who are working to give students the skills, perspective and courage to deal with dynamic complexity. The CLE offers you these services:
- The CLExchange, a free quarterly e-mail newsletter featuring new materials, updates from teachers in the field, upcoming events and resources.
- K-12 curriculum materials to download for free, developed by teachers in their classrooms for students across all grade levels and disciplines. We invite you to help us expand the list by sharing your lessons too.
- The Shape of Change, and The Shape of Change: Stocks and Flows, books of engaging games and lessons based on system dynamics and written by Rob Quaden, Alan Ticotsky, and Debra Lyneis, published by the CLE.
- Other documents on the "How" and " Why" of K-12 system dynamics to help you get started.
- CLE biennial conference for educators. The next conference will be in June, 2008 in Massachusetts - a chance to meet other teachers and get classroom ideas.
- The K-12 SD Listserv, a sporadic open e-mail discussion of education issues, technical SD questions, resources, etc.
- Road Maps, a guided self-study program in system dynamics developed at MIT under the direction of Professor Forrester.
- Links to other helpful resources including the System Dynamics Society, The Waters Foundation, Pegasus Communications, isee systems, and many more.
- A CD with all of the CLE materials, back issues of CLExchange, and more.
