University of Massachusetts President Jack M. Wilson and the University of Massachusetts Board of Trustees have established a search committee to conduct a national search for a new chancellor for the University's Medical campus.

The search committee is tasked with seeking, encouraging, interviewing and recommending to the President the strongest possible candidates for the position of Chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Chaired by Trustee Philip W. Johnston, the committee includes UMass Medical School faculty members, trustees, alumni, and business and community leaders.

Chairman: Philip W. Johnston, University of Massachusetts Trustee, President of Philip W. Johnston Associates and former state legislator and gubernatorial cabinet secretary

Vice Chairman: Craig C. Mello, Ph.D., Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator, Blais University Chair in Molecular Medicine and professor of molecular medicine and cell biology
