Responding to Service of a Summons and Complaint

Share |

When a University officer or employee is served with a summons and complaint, a subpoena, a motion for a temporary restraining order or for a preliminary injunction, or any other document that appears to commence litigation against the University or an employee (for an action that may be within the scope of the employee's employment), prompt action is required to ensure that the interests of the University and its employees are protected.

As soon as you receive such documents, you should contact our litigation unit:  attorneys Jean Marie Kelley and Denise Barton, or, litigation assistant Cheryl Owens, at our main number, 774-455-7300, or by email
