President Wilson on Governor's Education Reform Provisions andUniversity of Massachusetts President Jack M. Wilson today expressed his support for Governor Patrick's education reform goals and "Readiness Project," a plan unveiled today in remarks during the Governor's commencement address at the University of Massachusetts Boston. "The governor has been a strong supporter of higher education and the University of Massachusetts. The proposal illustrates that he is very serious about building the educational infrastructure that our citizens need and our technology-based economy requires," Wilson said. Wilson joined University of Massachusetts Boston Chancellor Michael F. Collins on the stage at the commencement to present honorary degrees and Chancellor's Medals and Wilson conferred degrees to approximately 2,600 undergraduate and graduate students.
