Reaction to University of Massachusetts Amherst Faculty Senate Vote
PRESIDENT WILSON "President Wilson takes the Amherst faculty's message very seriously and will do everything that he can to rebuild their trust," said Libby DeVecchi, a spokesperson for University of Massachusetts President Jack M. Wilson.
The following is a statement from Stephen P. Tocco, Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees: "I have the utmost confidence in the leadership of University of Massachusetts President Jack M. Wilson and my colleagues on the University's Board of Trustees. "It is our goal to make the University of Massachusetts one of the very best public universities in the United States. I understand that this involves change and sometimes change can seem difficult.
