UMass statements on House Ways and Means budget proposal

"The budget released today by the House Ways and Means Committee would increase funding for the University of Massachusetts by 5.7 percent, bringing our state appropriation to $469 million. We very much appreciate the expression of confidence that is at the heart of this proposal and look forward to working with the House and with other state leaders to build a University that will make a maximum contribution to the citizens of the Commonwealth and will take its place alongside the most outstanding public universities in the nation."
