President Wilson's reaction to House budget proposalPresident Jack M. Wilson The House proposal would increase the UMass budget by $27.8 million and would dramatically enhance the University's ability to provide top-quality higher education to the sons and daughters of the Commonwealth. The action taken by the House represents a strong vote of confidence in the University of Massachusetts and would benefit students for years to come. Each of our five campuses is enhancing academic programs and the House proposal would increase the pace of progress. I want to commend Speaker DiMasi, Chairman DeLeo, Chairman Murphy and all of the House leadership for advancing this visionary proposal. The confidence they express in the University of Massachusetts is confidence that we have worked to earn and will always seek to maintain. 4/10/06 The PDF files on this page require the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. |
