UMass Lowell student working with CNN at Republican National Convention
With the Republican National Convention just kicking off, UMass Lowell student Tyler Farley is getting firsthand experience in the world of politics.
According to the tauntongazette.com, the 20-year-old political science and economics double major is living one of his dreams, meeting prominent journalist and politicians such as Anderson Cooper and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Farley was chosen to attend the convention by his professor, Frank Talty, as well as based off of his academic standing. Through a program that partners with the university called the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars, Farley is working with CNN throughout the event.
One thing that Farley is looking forward to while at the convention is hearing Trump speak, according to the article.
