Introduction

The University of Massachusetts Information Technology Services (UITS) organization supports a wide range of customers, both at the campuses and the President's Office. In support of our customers, this site reflects our commitment to quality service with a focus on communications.

Our Mission

Operating within a framework of shared campus ownership, the mission of Information Technology Services (UITS) is to support the advancement of the University of Massachusetts in UITS core activities of instruction, research, and outreach.

UITS will do this by providing University-wide leadership for the planning, design, and provision of high quality, customer-oriented information technology services to the campuses and the President's Office. UITS will maintain on behalf of the University a reliable and technologically advanced information infrastructure that supports the current and future requirements of the campuses and external customers. UITS will champion the judicious use of new technologies and new models of service to enhance the academic and business functions of the University.
