UMass Boston Gastón Institute hosts 22 emerging leaders from around the worldThe Mauricio Gastón Institute at the University of Massachusetts Boston hosted 22 emerging leaders from 20 countries on July 11 for a question-and-answer session about public policy at the university's Healey Library. The group, called Citizen Participation in a Democracy, came to UMass Boston as part of a three-week trip to the U.S., sponsored by U.S. State Department's International Visitor Leadership Program. Prior to concluding the trip in Boston, where they also met with the Mayor's Office of New Bostonians and the Asian-American Civic Association, the group also traveled to Seattle, Jackson, Mississippi, Kansas City, Cleveland, and St. Louis. 7/23/07 The PDF files on this page require the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. |
