UMass Amherst- OPSAS becomes CMASS on Sept. 1Starting Sept. 1, Office of Programs and Services for Alana Students - commonly known as OPSAS - will become the Center for Multicultural Advancement & Student Success, or CMASS. In the process, the Bilingual Collegiate Program (BCP), the Committee for the Collegiate Education of Black and other Minority Students (CCEBMS), Native American Student Services (NASS), and United Asia Learning Resource Center (UALRC) will cease to exist. The ongoing mission of those programs - to work with student to successfully enter the community and progress to a university degree, will evolve into part of the CMASS program, which will be headquartered in Wilder Hall.
