UMass Boston- Mandarin Teacher Institute Received an Award

UMass Boston's Mandarin Teacher Institute has received 2009 Innovative and Creative Programming Award from the University Continuing Education Association's New England chapter. The award was presented at the association's annual conference in October 2009.

The programs were developed by the UMass Boston China Program Center, the University of Massachusetts Confucius Institute at UMass Boston, and the Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools, with sponsorship by STARTALK, which operates under the auspices of the Director of National Intelligence and the Department of Defense as a component of the National Security Language Initiative.
