UMass Dartmouth- Activities and materials will document and celebrate the contributions of Portuguese-Americans to the region, Commonwealth and world

The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, located in a region with one of the highest concentrations of Portuguese-Americans, will open the Ferreira Mendes Portugese-American Archives on Friday September 18 at 4 p.m at the Claire T. Carney Library. The ribbon cutting will be preceded at 1 p.m. by a colloquium focusing on the influence of Portuguese media which will be held in the Board of Trustees Room in the Foster Administration Building.
