The Central Heating Plant project will be designed to satisfy the campus' electric base load and all of its steam demand for over 200 buildings and nearly 10 million gross square feet of building space. It will have the latest pollution control technologies including advanced combustion turbine low NOx burners, Selective Catalytic Reduction and Oxidation Catalyst to significantly reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases and will meet the most stringent air quality permit requirements for a combustion turbine facility of its size in the United States.
