Prior to his selection, Motley served as vice president for business, marketing, and public affairs at the UMass President’s Office. He previously served as interim chancellor of UMass Boston and vice chancellor for student affairs.

Divina Grossman became chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth on July 1, 2012. Prior to her selection, Grossman served as the founding vice president of engagement at Florida International University. She previously served as dean of the College of Nursing and Health Science.

Jacqueline Moloney became chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Lowell on August 3, 2015. Prior to her selection, Chancellor Moloney served as the executive vice chancellor at UMass Lowell. She had served at UMass Lowell for more than 30 years in various positions, including as dean of Continuing Education.
